 Children’s Sermon Covid-19  Trust God

Hello Kids. How are you all doing? I hope and pray that you and your whole family are keeping a safe distance in public (Social Distancing), and using good health practices at home like washing your hands and using hand sanitizer.  A new virus, Covid-19, coronavirus has caused people all over the world to change the way they live. A good example is you not going to school but studying at home on line.  A global pandemic has been declared because of the COVID-19 virus, and it’s brought a lot of worry and unrest in communities and even whole countries. A pandemic is a disease that is common over a country or the world.  The current situation we’re all facing is something that probably no one alive today has experienced before.  That makes it very important that we trust God and learn from this Covid-19 Children’s Sermon.

Many states and countries are in total have rules in effect to keep the virus from spreading and to keep you and your family safe.  Is that how it is where you live?  People are worried about keeping their families safe and some people are afraid.  Boys and girls it’s natural to worry or to be afraid.

Questions to Ask-Trust God-Covid-19
From time to time both boys and girls and adults ask these questions: “Am I going to be okay?” “Will God take care of me?” “Will God keep His promises?”

In times like these, reading the Bible is very important. That’s where God’s words are. That’s where you find everything God wants to say to you. He speaks in the words and pages, and in Isaiah 41:10, God says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you.  I will help you.”  Psalm 91:11,12 states, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.  They will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

God can Calm Our Fears

God knows that fears will come. He knows that at times you and I will be afraid, and that we’ll worry.  That’s why God can speaks to us through the words of the bible.  He wants you to know that He is with you. God wants you to know that even under difficult circumstances, He is still the same God who always looks after you.

I want to encourage you and everyone here to pray and talk with the Father. Tell God your worries. God wants you to. Philippians 4:6,7 says that He wants you to come to Him with all your anxious thoughts and He will respond by giving you unexplainable peace. He will calm your heart even in a great storm. So, do that today.

God is With Us

Things may not get back to normal immediately. Solutions may take time to bear fruit. But in coming to God for help and companionship, you will be made sure that you are not alone. God loves you. So trust that He is thinking of you. Trust that He is working out what’s best for your family and this church family.

Don’t let the worries and fears get the best of you. Don’t let Satan use those fears to take you away from God. Now, more than ever, you need God. So, spend more time with Him. Keep coming to Him for peace, wisdom, and protection.

Now is not the time to give in to negative emotions. Now is the time to rely on God to deal with your worries and fears. And now is the time to pray and entrust yourself, your family, and your friends into God’s capable and loving hands. Let’s pray.
